<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rotor type rotating electric machine having a detecting sensor which is easily manufactured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The outer rotor type rotating electric machine has a stator core made of a magnetic material, a bowl-like rotor rotating around the stator core, and a detecting sensor arranged on the stator core and detecting the rotating position of the rotor. The detecting sensor has a plurality of hall ICs for detecting a magnetic flux of the magnet, a fan-like substrate connected to the plurality of hall ICs, a lead wire connected to the substrate, and a fan-like sensor case for housing the plurality of hall ICs and the substrate. The substrate has a plurality of through holes for allowing the lead wire to be inserted therein. The sensor case has a plurality of insertion portions for allowing the lead wire to be inserted therein. The plurality of through holes are disposed so as to overlap on the plurality of insertion portions.
