PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing an SMC, effective in economical and resource saving aspects, and capable of manufacturing the SMC at low cost. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the SMC includes an impregnation process for supplying an SMC material containing resin compositions 5, 5' and glass fibers 7, onto a mold release film 6, and impregnates the resin compositions 5, 5' between the glass fibers 7, by pressurizing an obtained laminate 9 from an upper face side and an under face side of the laminate 9, while conveying the obtained sheet-like laminate 9 comprising the mold releasing film 6 and the SMC material, and a process for layering the impregnated laminates 9, and the pressurization of the laminate 9 from the upper face side in the impregnation process is carried out by pressurizing directly the SMC material with a pressurizing face, by a pressurizing means 4 having a mold release property.
