PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester having operability and operation efficiency improved by efficiently reducing grounding pressure of a reaping part. SOLUTION: The combine harvester includes a traveling apparatus 2 installed in the lower side of a machine frame 1, a threshing apparatus 3 installed in upper one side of the machine frame 1, a reaping part 4 installed in the front side of the machine frame 1 and lifted and lowered by a reaping upper and lower cylinder 19, and an assistant urging means 20 for reducing grounding pressure of the reaping part 4 by urging the reaping part 4 in the lifting side separately from the reaping upper and lower cylinder 19. The assistant urging means 20 has a construction of increasing the lowering speed of the reaping part 4 from the uppermost position to a prescribed height, and decreasing the lowering speed for further lowering the reaping part 4 from the prescribed position than the lowering speed from the uppermost position.
