PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a fluid stuck to a boundary between a jetting head and a cap. SOLUTION: The cap is attached to the jetting head, negative pressure is applied to the inside of the cap by a suction pump, ink is sucked from the jetting port, and then the inside of the cap and the outside are made to communicate with each other, thereby releasing negative pressure in the cap. An opening portion is provided near the contact face of the cap with the jetting head, a closed space in the cap and the outside are made to communicate, and then negative pressure is caused to act on the opening portion. This makes the pressure of the opening negative relative to the closed space in the cap, and enables negative pressure to be applied to a fluid stuck to the periphery of the opening portion. Since the opening portion is disposed near the contact face of the jetting head with the cap, the fluid stuck to a part near the contact face of the jetting head with the cap is sucked into the opening portion by the negative pressure, and thus removed.
