PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof member installation structure which reduces labor for installation, prevents impairment of the appearance of a roof material, and exhibits high-quality feeling. SOLUTION: In this roof member 1 installation structure, a plurality of roof members 1 are laid on a roof bed 2. A starter member 3 is provided between the roof member 1a laid nearest eaves and the roof bed 2. The eaves end face 4 of the roof member 1a laid nearest the eaves is aligned with the eaves end face 5 of the starter member 3 generally flush with each other. The functions of an eaves board and a spacer can be added to the starter member 3. The appearance of the roof member installation structure can provide such an appearance that thick roof members 1 are installed on the roof bed. By separately forming the roof members 1 and the starter member 3, defects in formation such as wrinkles are hard to occur on the surfaces of the roof members 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
