PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal shutter and a camera module capable of mitigating response speed reduction of liquid crystal in a low temperature environment, and also, suppressing reliability reduction caused by the deterioration of a heating electrode for supplying heat to the liquid crystal. SOLUTION: According to one embodiment of the present technology, the liquid crystal shutter X1 includes: a first substrate 10; a second substrate 20; a sealing member 30; a shutter electrode 40; and the heating electrode 50. The shutter electrode 40 is configured to apply a voltage to the liquid crystal LC. The heating electrode 50 is configured to supply the heat to the liquid crystal LC, and includes a parallel wiring section 510 constituted by arranging a plurality of wires 511, 512, 513 and 514 in electrically parallel relationship. A volume of each of the wires 511, 512, 513 and 514 constituting the parallel wiring section 510 is configured to become larger as the length of each of the wires 511, 512, 513 and 514 becomes longer.
