PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article stopping device 10 of a roller conveyor capable of positively sending out an article B1 to a conveying downstream side by a delivery roller 2 while preventing the article form being caught by a stopper 1 even if the stopper 1 is elevated before the article B1 passes. SOLUTION: At the conveying downstream side of the stopper 1 which is arranged so as to ascended to and descended form a conveyance face F of the roller conveyor C, the delivery roller 2 is provided that elevates so that its circumferential face upper part is positioned above an upper end of the stopper 1 when the stopper 1 is elevated above the conveyance face F, and the delivery roller 2 is driven and rotated.
