PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body structure of a vehicle capable of simplifying a body structure around a suspension while securing the rigidity of the suspension for a rear wheel. SOLUTION: The rear body structure includes a suspension cross member 20 which is provided between right and left side frames 4, 4, both right and left ends of which are connected to the rear side frames 4, 4 below a kickup floor 2c and to which a suspension 10 for a rear wheel is mounted, and extending in the vehicle lateral direction between right and left rear side frames at a lower part of a kick-up floor. The rear body structure includes a rear cross member 30 having a body 30a extending in the vehicle lateral direction at an upper part with respect to the cross member 20 and at the substantially same position in the vehicle longitudinal direction having right and left both ends connected to the rear side frames 4, 4 and a forward extending portion 30b extending along a tunnel 2d from the vehicle lateral direction center of the body 30a forward, and connected to the tunnel 2d.
