<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable gain in sharpening processing to be switched responding to a luminosity state of an image in executing super-resolution processing including the sharpening processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device executes the super-resolution processing, including the sharpening processing, for converting into the image signal of second resolution higher than first resolution. The image display device detects the luminosity state of the input image by the image signal based on the luminosity value of the image signal of the first resolution, responding to the luminosity state of the detected input image, the value of the gain in the sharpening processing is switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
