<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device properly detecting a non-conductive state of a breaking part while suppressing enlargement of the device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: a power supply part (VCC) which supplies power to electrical parts provided to the image forming device; an opening/closing cover which allows access to an image forming part forming an image to a recorded medium; a breaking part (22) which is made non-conductive and disconnects the electrical parts (LD1) from the power supply part when the opening/closing cover is opened; and a control part (41) which has an output port (70) electrically connected to the power supply part via the breaking part and outputs a control signal (Vset) for controlling the electrical parts via the output port. The output port (70) has an input switch circuit (72) and an output switch circuit (71), which are complementarily turned on/off.
