<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reforming high-temperature exhaust gas of a metallurgical furnace, capable of achieving temperature rise of the exhaust gas and reduction of carbon dioxide emission by efficiently inducing a reforming reaction between carbon dioxide and a reducing agent without inducing deposition of carbon or noncombustible components, and a reforming apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from the metallurgical furnace is reformed by adding the reducing agent to the exhaust gas and inducing the reforming reaction between carbon dioxide contained in the exhaust gas and the reducing agent. In this case, the reducing agent, into which ≤10 mol% water or steam is previously mixed, is added to the exhaust gas when oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas is ≤1 vol.%, and the reforming reaction is terminated when the temperature of the exhaust gas is ≥800°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
