MENU WHOSE SHAPE IS PARTITIONED WITH TWO RADII AND ARC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menu that has the shape partitioned with two radii and an arc.

SOLUTION: A sector menu tracks position of a pointer as a pointing device is moved. Each sector menu has the shape of geometry partitioned with two radii of a circle and an arc included in the circle. A menu item is housed in a plurality of segments formed of a plurality of radii that cut out the sector menu. A user selects a menu item housed in a segment by changing direction from an orbit so as to pass over a wanted menu item to call an operation of the wanted menu item. The sector menu lacks a segment, to specify the missing segment which is directed to the moving direction of a pointer. The sector menu can use a segment of different size on which the likelihood of a user to select a menu item is reflected.
