The switch has an electromagnetic trigger device (13) with two armatures (A1, A2) for opening respective switches (17, 12) during reaching of respective threshold currents that are different from each other. An electrothermal trigger device (11) is switched parallel to a main current path (16). The electrothermal trigger device causes a switch latch (18) to open one of the switches (12) after predetermined time, when the overcurrent greater than one of the threshold currents flows through the switch latch.
