<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device capable of inhibiting bubbles from being included into a container even if the vertical moving speed of a coating needle is raised, allowing accurate repair, scarcely permitting the coating needle from being deformed and capable of drawing a repair line with a continuous smooth contour. <P>SOLUTION: The coating device comprises a coating container having a space for accommodating a paste-like coating inside and an opening formed in the bottom thereof for allowing the space and the outside to communicate with each other, the needle of a circular horizontal cross-section shape vertically movably supported on the vertical line passing the center of the opening, a drive source for vertically moving the coating needle between a coating position where the tip end of the needle protrudes below the opening and a stored position where the tip end is drawn into the coating container, a table on which an object is placed, and a moving device for moving the table within a horizontal plane.
