<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact production line requiring smaller installation floor space. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A movement area 14 is disposed along the production line 8, and a mobile robot 16 is arranged movably in the movement area 14. The periphery of the production line 8 and a transportation line 14 is covered with a cover 18 as a whole. A person stands outside the cover 18. Therefore, no human body carelessly enters operation areas 2a to 6a of production equipments 2 to 6. There is no probability that a human hand or the like touches a certain production equipment and gets hurt during operation even in the absence of a conventional safety area between these production equipments 2 to 6 and the movement area 14.
