<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sufficient energy for curing an ultraviolet-curable ink in a printing machine capable of printing in the ultraviolet-curable ink. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A drying apparatus 10 for a printing machine cures the ultraviolet-curable ink of printed matter printed in the ultraviolet-curable ink. The drying apparatus 10 for the printing machine is includes a UV-LED unit 11 and a UV lamp 12. The UV-LED unit 11 irradiates a sheet 5 after printed by a printing unit 31 for primary processing with ultraviolet rays. The UV lamp 12 receives the sheet 5 irradiated with the ultraviolet rays by the UV-LED unit 11, and is provided in an intermediate cylinder 25b delivered to the impression cylinder 32c of the printing unit 32 for the primary processing.
