摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal wavelength conversion device which can convert a wavelength of an optical signal of a high bit rate without inducing waveform distortion of the optical signal and can perform wavelength conversion regardless of a format of an input signal. SOLUTION: The optical signal wavelength conversion device has first and second sub MZ waveguides (MZ<SB>A</SB>, MZ<SB>B</SB>)2, 3, a main MZ waveguide 8, a first electrode 9, a second electrode 10, a main MZ electrode 11 and a signal source 12. The main MZ waveguide 8 includes an optical signal input section 4, MZ<SB>A</SB>, MZ<SB>B</SB>, a branch section 5, a multiplexing section and an output section 7. The optical signal section 4 includes two waveguides 4a and 4b optically connected to the branch section 5. The output section 7 includes two waveguides 7a and 7b optically connected to the multiplexing section 6. Both the branch section 5 and the multiplexing section 6 include directional couplers.
