<p>PURPOSE: A structure of a hood shaft for protecting pedestrians is provided to reduce impulse degree delivered to the pedestrian by breaking the shaft when a vehicle is crashing to the pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A structure of a hood shaft for protecting pedestrians comprises a shaft(10) and a latch. The shaft is fixed to a plate(20) fixed on the bottom surface of the hood. The latch clinches the shaft on a car body. The shaft is composed of a horizontal bar(11) and vertical bars(12a,12b). The horizontal bar is controlled by the latch. The vertical bar is extended from the both ends of the horizontal bar and is fixed to the end of the plate. The vertical bar has the shape of twisting with the horizontal bar.</p> |
