<p>A DC to AC converter of an inverter bridge type having additional bidirectional switches (s 5 , D 5 , s 6 , D 6 , s 7 , D 7 , s 8 , D 8 ). The bidirectional switches decouple the load from the DC supply (u dc /2) during zero states and there is no need to produce the zero states by turning on simultaneously upper and lower switches of the inverter bridge. A split DC voltage and the bidirectional switches enable the inverter to produce five output voltage levels and reduce the effects of the common mode voltage. The size of the output filter (L 1 ) can be greatly reduced.</p> |
