<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic unit, which performs a series of calculation processes on an input and outputs it, capable of proceeding flexibly and at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: This unit comprises a plurality of calculation units outputting after performing predetermined calculations on the input. The calculation unit functions as a pipeline making flow of the input from an input line to which uppermost upstream side calculation unit is connected into the downstream side calculation unit after performing a plurality of calculations on the input and outputting from an output line to which the lowermost downstream side calculation unit is connected by serially connecting at least the plurality of the calculation units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
