<p>The glow plug has a ceramic glow pencil (1), and a protective tube (2) enclosing the glow pencil, where the tube projects from a plug body (3). A sleeve (4) enclosing the protective tube is welded to the protective tube and fitted in the plug body, where the plug body forms a stop for an end of the sleeve. An annular gap is formed between the tube and a portion of the sleeve, where the tube is provided with openings in its cylinder surface. The tube has a coating surface, and is electrically insulated from the plug body.</p> |
