PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing tteok(rice cake) tea is provided to prevent damages of nutrients of tea leaves, to enable a take to drink tea without continuously supplying water to a heater in a steaming process, and to prevent the generation of residues. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing tteok(rice cake) tea comprises the following steps: mixing tea leaves with water in a weight ratio of 1:1 and staying the mixture for 1-3 days; steaming the tea leaves absorbing water in a conventional steamer for 4-6 hours; kneading the steamed tea leaves in a rounded rice cake molding machine; mixing the tea leaves dough with plant medicine powder in a weight ratio of 7-8:2-3 and molding the tea leaves dough in a shape of the tteok tea; and drying the molded tteok tea and aging the tteok tea. The plant medicine powder has a particle size of 100-300 meshes.
