摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTO (power take-off) system configured to recapture energy, wherein the engine speed is independent of the PTO shaft speed, and wherein the possible locations for placement of the PTO shaft is not limited by engine location. <P>SOLUTION: The PTO system (100) includes: an energy storage device (116) configured to supply electrical power and at least one electrical drive system (108) electrically connected to the energy storage device(116) to convert the electrical power to a desired mechanical power.
