PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device exhibiting excellent pressure resistance, although an attachment groove is a rectangular groove having a rectangular cross section, suppressing protrusion of a seal ring, and simplifying grooving work and reduction of a cost. SOLUTION: The sealing device includes the seal ring, a relatively hard first backup ring arranged in a counter sealed fluid side thereof, and a relatively soft second backup ring arranged between the rings. The attachment groove is the rectangular groove having the rectangular cross section. The first backup ring has a tapered shape in a protruded portion provided on the seal ring side of a body part. The second backup ring has a tapered part corresponding to the tapered shape of the first backup ring and capable of overhanging on it.
