PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device for shortening the design time of a suspension for a vehicle. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing apparatus generates an initial suspension model having a design specification value equal to a preset initial design specification value, calculates the input/output characteristics of the model by executing the operation simulation (execution of the processing of a step S3), obtains a prediction expression for calculating the predicted change quantity of the output in changing the design specification value of the initial suspension model from the initial specification value (execution of the processing of a step S4), and obtains the input/output characteristics of analysis object suspension from predicted change quantityΔFi obtained by substituting the change quantity from the initial design specification value input by a designer so as to set the design specification value into the prediction expression and the input/output characteristics of the initial suspension model calculated by operation simulation (execution of the processing of a step S6).
