摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a matrix converter which is operated while minimizing higher harmonics in the input current or the output voltage and reducing the switching loss in a modulation method for switching the matrix converter by using the comparison results of a carrier signal of triangular wave or sawtooth wave and six kinds of signal wave. SOLUTION: The matrix converter control device has a signal wave computing unit which computes the conduction ratio to a middle phase for all patterns when the number of switching times, within a half period in case of a carrier signal of triangular wave or within a period in case of a carrier signal of sawtooth wave, is set to 3, selects one pattern in which the input current higher harmonics or the output voltage higher harmonics are minimum from among the all patterns, and generates six kinds of signal wave which are compared with the carrier signal by using the conduction ratio to a middle phase.
