An outer rotor type claw pole motor (M) is provided with a stator core (17), a rotor (8) and a coil (15). The stator core (17) has a claw pole (9) extending in the axial direction on the outer circumference, and a solid core (17a) extending in the axial direction in the center. The rotor (8) is provided on the outer circumferential side of the stator core (17) so that the inner circumferential surface faces the claw pole (9). The coil (15) is arranged in a space (40) formed between the claw pole (9) and the core (17a). A recess (30) is provided in the center of at least one of the opposite ends of the core (17a) in the axial direction. The outer rotor type claw pole motor (M) may be used as the drive source of a pump (P), and the pump (P) may be mounted on a pump drive apparatus (100, 200, 300).
