REGENERATION PROCESSING METHOD OF EXHAUST GAS FILTERING DEVICE, AND EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform regeneration processing of a filtering device in an exhaust emission control device.

SOLUTION: A power frequency representing a traveling state of a vehicle is calculated. The power frequency is compared with a threshold to determine whether or not it is possible to execute or continue the regeneration processing of the filter. Thereby, when it is determined that the traveling state of the vehicle is not suitable for the regeneration process of the filter, the regeneration processing is not executed or is halted to prevent needless fuel injection, so that degradation in fuel economy or oil dilution is prevented.
