<p>Provided is a magnetic field generator exhibiting high productivity wherein separation or misalignment of a permanent magnet from a permanent magnet group can be prevented easily and surely over a long term. A magnetic field generator (10) is equipped with a permanent magnet group (14a) provided on a plate-like yoke (12a), a pole shoe (16a) provided on one main surface of the permanent magnet group (14a) to form an exposed portion (18b), a frame member (34) provided on the plate-like yoke (12a) to surround the permanent magnet group (14a), and a flange-like member (36) provided onto the pole shoe (16a) to cover the exposed portion (18b). A push bolt (44) screwed into the frame member (34) presses the outer circumferential surface (18a) of the permanent magnet group (14a) directly or with an insertion member (42) interposed therebetween. A push bolt (48) screwed into the flange-like member (36) presses the exposed portion (18b) of the permanent magnet group (14a) directly or with an insertion member (46) interposed therebetween. The plate-like yoke (12b) side is also constituted similarly.</p>
