PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain fail-safe and maintenance-free operation in a damping means used for damping vibrations in the vertical direction of a double floor structure. SOLUTION: The double floor structure includes: a horizontal structural plane 2 horizontally arranged at regular intervals above a floor slab; a vertical structural plane 7 installed on the upper part of the floor slab and supporting the horizontal structural plane 2; and the damping means 10 interposed between the horizontal structural plane 2 and the vertical structural plane 7 of and damping the vibrations in the vertical direction of the horizontal structural plane 2. The mounting surface 15d of a mounting part 15 of the damping means 10 is fitted slidably in the horizontal direction to the mounting surface 9d of a mounting part 9c of at least either the structural plane of the horizontal structural plane 2 and the vertical structural plane 7. The double floor structure includes a holding member 50 abutting on the mounting part 9c of the structural plane 7 and the mounting part 15 for the damping means 10 with the surfaces 15f and 9f on the reverse sides of the mounting surfaces 15d and 9d respectively for holding the mounting parts 15 and 9 together.
