PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for guiding in a natural way without imparting a sense of incongruity to a user even when a road which a vehicle is not allowed to enter is connected to a branch point, a terminal device, a navigation server, a navigation device and navigation method. SOLUTION: The navigation system generates a determination result on whether a guidance route follows the road before and after a branch point based on determination results on whether the angle formed by an entrance road and an escape road of the branch point on the guidance route is smaller than a predetermined angle, whether a connection road other than the guidance route is connected to the branch point, and whether a vehicle is allowed to enter the connection road from the entrance road, based on road network data. When the determination result corresponding to the branch point is that the guidance route does not follow the road, the navigation system performs guidance by outputting, through an output part, guidance data corresponding to the traveling direction at the branch point.
