<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk allowing miniaturization of a lighting system set on the desk top, and illuminating the surface of a top board with sufficient brightness. <P>SOLUTION: The desk includes a panel erected on the top board, and the lighting system disposed along the upper end of the panel. The lighting system includes a linear light source with a plurality of LED elements mounted parallel on a substrate in such a way that the directions of light emission are the same; a base in which the linear light source is housed from an opening on the upper surface; and a reflector disposed on a light path of the light emitted from the linear light source. The reflector has a first reflecting surface and a second reflecting surface. The first and second reflecting surfaces meet each other at an upper position on the center axis of the linear light source, and the reflector is configured so that the distance to a plane including the light emitting surface of the LED elements becomes longer as separated from the meeting part of the reflecting surfaces. The area on one side with the panel in-between is illuminated with the light emitted from the LED elements and reflected from the first reflecting surface, and the area on the other side is illuminated with the light reflected from the second reflecting surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
