<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify a functional substance contained in a camu camu fruit juice and to find out an amount required to demonstrate the function, thereby to provide a function improvement agent which includes the functional substance and can fully demonstrate the function, and to provide the food or beverage containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A camu camu fruit juice, the extract, the fraction purified product, or malic acid-1-methyl ester (also including other than the thing of the camu camu fruit juice origin) contained in the camu camu fruit juice is used, and thereby the novel agent for ameliorating a liver function which has an outstanding liver function improvement action is provided. Moreover, since malic acid-1-methyl ester which is an active ingredient can be extracted from the camu camu fruit juice by a comparatively simple operation, the liver function improvement substance can be provided easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
