<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of restraining an inside of a washing vessel from getting to an insanitary condition, caused by coming-out of an odor of a garbage from the washer, or deposition of various germs onto tableware, even when standing while the garbage is left in a garbage filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This dishwasher includes a disinfection means 17 for disinfecting air discharged from an inside of the washing vessel 2 into an inside of a discharge path 16 for discharging the air in the inside of the washing vessel 2 to an outside of the dishwasher, and the inside of the washing vessel 2 is restrained from getting to the insanitary condition, caused by the coming-out of the odor of the garbage from a casing 1 or the deposition of the various germs onto the dishes 4, by disinfecting and deodorizing the air discharged to the outside of the dishwasher.
