<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball, which can increase the carry when hit with a driver, has excellent spin performance with good controllability in an approach shot, provides a good hitting feeling, and can be used, particularly, by an advanced-level player with satisfaction. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball includes a rubber elastic core, a cover having a number of dimples formed on the surface, and at least one intermediate layer between the core and the cover. The intermediate layer is composed of a resin material harder than the cover and the elastic core surface and has the thickness of 0.5-3 mm and Shore D hardness of 50-67.
