<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device that facilitates switching between output and output stop of a drive signal to ultrasonic transducers 21/22 with low-cost components. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The drive device 1 includes a transmitter section 11 which outputs drive signal for driving the ultrasonic transducers 21/22, transformers 31/32 arranged in output routes 6/7 of drive signal from the transmitter section 11 to the ultrasonic transducers 21/22, in which high-pressure side coils 31b/32b are series-connected with the output routes 6/7, and switching members 33/34 for switching low-pressure side coils 31a/32a of the transformers 31/32 between short circuit state and open state.
