PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission capable of decreasing the number of oil holes of a trunnion which are to be oil passages going from a pivot side via the trunnion to a power roller side. SOLUTION: A washer 41 is arranged between the end surface on the pivot 14 side connected with a driving rod 29 of the trunnion 15 and a thrust needle bearing formed on the outer periphery of the pivot 14. An oil groove 42 is formed on a side surface contacting with the end surface of the trunnion 15 of the washer 41. An external oil passage 42a is formed outside the trunnion 15 by the oil groove 42 of the washer 41 and the end surface of the trunnion 15 blocking the upper side of the oil groove 42. The external oil passage 42a communicates the first oil hole 39 of the pivot 14 with the second oil hole 71 of the trunnion 15 to supply lubrication oil to the power roller 11 side, which can decrease the number of the oil holes of the trunnion 15.
