PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient time for gray-scale voltage writing with respect to each sub-pixel even when definition of a display area is made higher and more precise in a display device that uses time-division driving. SOLUTION: The display device includes a display part having a plurality of sub-pixels and a plurality of video lines for supplying a gray-scale voltage to each sub-pixel, a video line driving circuit for outputting a gray-scale voltage corresponding to m time divisions, and m, i.e., first to m-th switches for time-dividing m time-sequential signals output from the video line driving circuit within a write period T, T denoting the write period for writing a gray-scale voltage in the m sub-pixels, and sequentially supplying the signals to the m video lines among the plurality of video lines. A switch lastly turned on is the m-th switch, and T-Tsm>T/m is satisfied where Ts1, ..., Ts(m-1), Tsm denote periods from the start of the write period T till turning-on of the m-th switch.
