Disclosed herein is a method that includes determining spatial locations of device pairs involved in device-to-device communications; and semi-persistently allocating radio resources to individual device pairs in accordance with time-hopped timeslot index sequences that are offset from one another so as to reduce an occurrence of interference with other device pairs.
