PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability joint technique of ceramic/metal.

SOLUTION: The joint member comprises: a first cylindrical part 19 made of metal; and a second cylindrical part 11 which is joined coaxially with the first cylindrical part 19 by axial edge faces with each other and is formed of a ceramic having a coefficient of thermal expansion less than that of metal forming the first cylindrical part 19. Respective axial edge faces on which the first cylindrical part 19 and the second cylindrical part 11 are joined to each other are respectively tapered faces each having an inclination of a tapered angle θ of 53 to 70° such that the first cylindrical part 19 is put on the outside of the second cylindrical part 11. Inner diameters and outer diameters of both of the cylindrical parts are respectively equal to each other. Both of the cylindrical parts are joined by means of any of glass sealing, brazing and adhesive joint. The first cylindrical part is made of any of ferrite type stainless steel, chromium-based alloy and nickel-based alloy, and the second cylindrical part has a multilayer structure made of different materials containing a layer of zirconia principal phase.
