<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effect of an additional image-plotting function in printing when there is a license of the additional image-plotting function, but not to provide such function when there is no license thereof, without preparing a license server nor limiting installing of the additional image-plotting function of a printer driver. <P>SOLUTION: This printer 150 determines whether or not a print job is generated by a host having a license of an additional image-plotting function (S704) when the print job includes a PDL command for additional image-plotting (Yes in S702). When the print job is generated by the host having the license (Yes in S704), a PDL command for a printing target document included in the print job is synthesized with the PDL command for the additional image-plotting, and thereby an image is output (S705). On the other hand, when the print job is generated by a host not having the license (No in S704), the PDL command for the printing target document included in the print job is not synthesized with the PDL command for the additional image-plotting and an image is output in accordance with the PDL command for the printing target document (S703). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
