PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fuel injection valve and the fuel injection valve, easily regulating the maximum displacement of a valve member. SOLUTION: A needle 14 and a movable core 36 are separately formed, and the stopper 27 of the needle 14 is brought into contact with the upper end surface 45 of the movable core 36. The outside diameter D1 of the stopper 27 of the needle 14 is smaller than the diameter D3 of a fuel inlet 18 and also smaller than the inside diameter D2 of a fixed core 35. When the maximum displacement of the needle 14 is outside of a specified value range, the needle 14 is removed before a first spring 39, an adjusting pipe 40 and a fuel filter 19 are assembled, and is replaced with the needle 14 having the different length from the surface of the stopper 27 on the side of a nozzle port to an end.
