<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein when supplied power supplied to a fixing device is measured from the amount of change of the temperature of a heater while the power is supplied, the amount of heat transferred from the heater to a pressure roller does not stabilize so that it is difficult to accurately measure the supplied power and a voltage applied to the heater cannot be controlled correctly. <P>SOLUTION: In an image heating apparatus, the supplied power is measured from the amount of change in a predetermined time of the power supplied to the heater 4 and the amount of change of the temperature of the heater in the predetermined time.
