PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic warp knitted fabric of excellent stretchability and stretch recovery, good in feeling when worn, excellent in motion followability, thus capable of contributing to improved motional functionalities, and further, without being limited in applications due to its stretch force, therefore usable as a material of clothing hardly developing getting out of shape when worn. SOLUTION: The warp knitted fabric includes elastic fibers and inelastic fibers, and is knitted using three-sheet reed. In this warp knitted fabric, the inelastic fibers are disposed in the front and middle reeds, while the elastic fibers in the back reed; the texture at the back reed is Denby one; the stretch force ratio of the warp direction to weft direction when elongated at 80% is 0.8-1.8; and the stretch recovery factors in the warp direction and weft direction after undergoing repeating 80%-elongation-recovery practices three times are each 90% or greater.
