摘要 <p>An apparatus and a method for mapping a bit of a digital modulation signal are provided to overcome a nonlinear channel characteristic generated in a transmitting and receiving amplifier by shifting and mapping information bits in an outer ring counterclockwise. Each bit is mapped on constellation with the shape of an outer ring and an inner ring(301). The bits in the outer ring are shifted counterclockwise one by one and the bits are finally mapped(302). In consideration of the constellation changed by the nonlinear characteristic, the bit is mapped so that the bit difference between the symbol of the inner ring and the symbol of the outer ring positioned in a diagonal line around the symbol of the inner ring is the predetermined bit difference.</p>
