An object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a sheet joined body (5) that is unlikely to make a sheet joined body cause a stepped portion on at least one side thereof and is capable of providing an excellent joining strength to a sheet joined body (5). Provided is a method of producing a sheet joined body (5), which includes a covering step of bringing end faces of sheet members (1,2), which sheet members (1,2) containing a thermoplastic resin, into abutment with each other to provide an abutted portion and covering one side of the abutted portion with a joining member (3), and a joining step of irradiating a portion covered with the joining member (3) with laser light to fusion-bond the sheet members (1,2) and the joining member (3) together, thereby joining the sheet members (1,2) together. |
