The present invention relates to a hollow chamber profile (1, 2) for producing windows and/or doors with a reinforcing chamber (3, 4) for accommodating a reinforcing profile (5, 6) and with at least one additional chamber (11, 22) that is located in front of the reinforcing chamber (3, 4) towards inside or outside. The chamber (11, 22), which is located in front of the reinforcing chamber, has two chamber walls (15, 30, 26, 31) that are essentially parallel to the inside and outside visible surfaces (20, 21) of the hollow chamber profile (1, 2) and is subdivided into smaller chambers (16, 17, 18, 32, 33, 34) by a number of partitions (12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25). Said subdivision of the frontal chamber (11, 22) is realized by partitions (12, 13, 23, 24) that are slanted with regard to the chamber walls (15, 30, 26, 31). The hollow chamber profile (1, 2) contains at least five chambers (8, 10, 3, 17, 18) arranged side by side, whereas the inner width of each of the smaller chambers (16, 17, 18, 32, 33, 34) is at least 5 mm in at least one location and is less than 5 mm in at least one other location. The production method of the invented hollow chamber profile (1, 2) is characterized in that the profile after leaving an extruding machine is led into a former and in this former it is cooled from outside, wherein all chambers (3, 4, 16, 17, 18, 32, 33, 34) of the hollow chamber profile (1, 2) are additionally cooled from the inside. |
