<p>A piezoelectric actuator (54), particularly for use in an automotive fuel injector includes a piezoelectric stack (60), a connector module (68) associated with the piezoelectric stack, and connecting means (110) for electrically connecting the piezoelectric stack to the connector module. The connecting means comprises a collar (112) that is received over the piezoelectric stack and is locatable in a position in which the collar contacts a first electrode pair (62a, 62b) provided on the piezoelectric stack and a second electrode pair (98a, 98b; 102a, 102b) provided on the connector module thereby providing an electrical connection between the connector module and the piezoelectric stack.</p> |
