PURPOSE: A device for forming an image and a method for generating an image mosaic are provided to improve improper blending for generating an image mosaic. CONSTITUTION: A matching point descriptor is extracted by analyzing an input image(S201). A descriptor per pair-wise is matched(S202). The descriptor is matched to a final image. A rotation/translation parameter is restored(S203). An image blending is performed one by one by using the restored rotation/translation parameter(S204).
