FIELD: power engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for confinement of nuclear reactor core melt comprises slab and trap arranged underneath with cup for collection of melt installed inside containment of reactor vault. On lower surface of slab and on upper edge of cup there are upper and lower flanges mounted coaxially one under another, every of which has a pair of concentrically arranged rings. Besides lower first pair of rings in one flange is located between rings of above arranged second pair of opposite flange. Between rings of the first pair there is a corrugated sleeve installed coaxially, upper and lower edges of which are attached accordingly to upper and lower flanges. Outside and inside of corrugate sleeve there are inner and outer bandages installed in grooves. Cover with circular ridges is mounted on upper edge of cup. ^ EFFECT: invention prevents radiation contamination of environment in case of accident related to damage of nuclear reactor and spill of nuclear fuel. ^ 3 cl, 2 dwg
